APM recently completed steam trap and heat loss surveys (utilizing a representative from Thermaxx) at two campus locations (located in VA and DC). This project was sold by Brett Houlihan and included surveying 450+ traps at both locations in a 9 day period. Matt Hydock was able to perform the survey as it was sold while accommodating the customer’s request to communicate location and schedule throughout the day.
Like many other customers, GWU has adopted new COVID policies for contractors working on-site. These requirements can create an added layer of complexity to a job that would otherwise be fairly straightforward. Our main point of contact had to coordinate access to each building and floor based on exactly when and where Matt and the Thermaxx rep would be working each day. Matt was flexible, stayed late when required, and worked to help meet the needs of the customer.
GWU is now in the process of approving repair work, and we expect to return to the campus in the coming months to complete this work. In the customer’s eyes, we showed up and made life easy by working with them, communicating daily, and managing the surveys in a way that mimized any issues or headaches for our point of contact. These are often the things that separate APM from the other vendors that “attempt” to mimic us!
