Happy 1-Year Work Anniversary Rhea Maghanoy

October 30th is a special work anniversary anniversary. It is Rhea Maghanoy’s1-year work anniversary!

Here is what Rhea had to say about his time at APM:

I can’t believe it’s already been a year since I joined APM! I want to take a moment to reflect on my journey here, especially how I came to be part of this amazing team. Just a month after resigning from my previous employer of over nine years, I planned to take a break, but when my dear friend Kit referred me to APM, I knew I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. Her positive experiences and feedback about the company truly resonated with me during our meetups.

I vividly remember my initial interview with Stephanie, Katie, and James—it felt like a leap into the unknown after so long. I’m grateful for their belief in me and for Courtney, who made my onboarding process as smooth as possible. I am thankful for the opportunity to join such a supportive team.

This year has been incredible. I’ve been able to balance my full-time job working from home, mom duties, my small home baking business and a little social life. Joining APM has truly been one of the best decisions I’ve made.

A Funny Story…

I can’t help but reflect on the hilariously chaotic onboarding journey—especially for this ambivert with a strong introverted streak! When I joined APM, I was thrust into a whirlwind of “Intro” meetings with different teams. Now, imagine me—sitting there, nervously adjusting my camera, repeating my introduction over and over like a slightly anxious parrot. “Hi, I’m [Your Name], I work in [Your Role], I swear, by the end of week one, I could recite my name, role, and a fun fact about myself in my sleep.

But here’s the twist: thanks to all those intro meetings, I got to meet almost everyone in the company—even Ricardo! In nearly two decades of work experience, I’ve never had the chance to meet the entire team in such a short time.

A Memorable Experience…

Joining the company during the busiest survey season was both exhilarating and challenging!

I started right in the middle of the busiest season, and it felt like I was thrown into the deep end with a floatie that had a slow leak, and I didn’t even know how to swim! I was thrown into a series of training sessions all while adapting to new processes and still learning and remembering to do all these at the same time. To add to the whirlwind, two team members left the team and James had to take an emergency leave at one point. There were moments when I asked myself, “What did I get myself into?”. It was a mix of excitement and sheer panic! But thanks to the incredible support from Vanessa and Katie, I navigated through the madness.

I want to extend a special thanks to James. The virtual training sessions with him were a key part of my transition, and James’s patience and guidance made all the difference that truly helped me feel confident in my then, new role.

An Accomplishment…

Looking back at the challenging experiences I faced when I first joined, I am thrilled to say that I have gained the confidence to tackle my responsibilities with minimal assistance. One of my greatest achievements thus far has been taking on the responsibility of reviewing and updating the BizOps Team SOPs. While I’m not sure how much of a difference this will make, I hope it will serve as a valuable resource for future team members, helping them navigate their roles more easily.

Thank you all for your support and guidance throughout this journey. I’m excited to see what the next year brings and to continue contributing to our team’s success!

Here is what Engineering Associate, Colin Peter, had to say about Michael’s time at APM:

Mike has been a great addition to APM’s team and has been able to provide key support needed down south. He never hesitates to reach out with questions or when something is needed to complete a job, I appreciate that level of communication and think it’s a good display of Pride and Intellectual Curiosity.

And lastly, here is what Business Operations Manager, James Aguiar, had to say about Rhea’s time at APM:

Rhea joined APM during a time of significant change, with new processes being introduced for heating season and lots of changes in our department. However, from day one, she demonstrated commitment and attentiveness to her training and speaks up regularly in the spirit of self-improvement and better process. Her high level of accuracy in reporting and data management has been exceptional, and as she’s grown in her role, she’s become an important contributing member of Operations. I’m excited to see the new ways she’ll continue to contribute to in the months ahead. Thank you Rhea!

Thank you, Michael, for your continuous hard work and dedication through your time at APM.
