Happy 15-Year Work Anniversary Jim Krochune!

Tomorrow, 2/8/25 is Jim Krochune’s 15-Year Work Anniversary!

Here is what Jim had to say about his time at APM:

It’s hard to believe it’s been 15 years already. The company has grown significantly from the 10-person company I joined (after six interviews). The first day I started, Tony and I went to the Squealing Pig with a handful of Hospital Directors in the Longwood area of Boston. On the drive home, I told Tony, “This company is a diamond in the rough!” he laughed for days.

My time at APM has been an incredible journey filled with great experiences, challenges, and rewarding accomplishments. One of the things I’ve enjoyed the most is working with such a talented and dedicated team. Whether it was the successful optimization of steam systems across multiple hospitals or resolving a lingering on-site issue no other company could figure out; I’ve always appreciated the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, thanks to everyone’s hard work and dedication.

One of the most enjoyable moments was when Tony sold the business to Ricardo. Before I was hired, eight or nine other salespeople had failed in the previous 18 months. Some he let go in less than two weeks into employment. He took me to lunch (Sh!tty Chinese food, anyone?), thanked me for all my hard work, and told me that in the beginning, he didn’t think I would last six weeks, never mind six years. He told me I was the best salesperson he had ever worked with. Moments like these, filled with joy and fulfillment, remind me why I love what I do.

I can’t pinpoint one funny story, as there have been so many. Maybe the 40+ sales admins I have had the pleasure of working with (one worked a Monday through Friday, left for lunch on Friday, and never returned). From the field tech blunders onsite (Regis College, where a tech spilled a can of blue pipe dope (A LOT) on the brand new carpet in the commuter lounge, to tradeshows with Tony, “We gotta get a Booth Babe to work the booth,”  to the 8 company clambakes we had in my backyard, and I will stop there because the list could go on and on.

I’m proud of our work over the past 15 years and look forward to continuing to grow with APM. I am confident that with our collective efforts, APM will continue to thrive and significantly impact the industry. Thanks again for the recognition!

And here is what Ricardo had to say about Jim:

Fifteen years is an incredible milestone for Jim and APM. When APM’s founder first hired him, our team was just a handful of employees, and we had about $1M in sales. Today, we have grown to over 50 employees, and our sales have just crossed the $15M mark. Jim has been here through it all, bringing an energetic, competitive spirit and a knack for dreaming big that continues raising the bar for us all. I have personally relied on his unwavering optimism about our future, and I appreciate the pride he takes in representing APM as part of the sales team.

Jim is now leading our charge into Nationwide Healthcare Groups, an initiative with plenty of challenges and unknowns. He embraces it with the confidence and creativity that make the rest of us believe in what is possible, showing how deeply he cares about helping APM reach its full potential and about creating valuable jobs for our growing team.

Jim, thank you for your 15 great years at APM and your impact. We are grateful to have you on board and can’t wait to see what we can achieve together in the years ahead!

Thank you, Jim, for your continuous hard work and dedication through your time at APM.
