Sunday, 10/8/23 is a special work anniversary. It is Evan Pfenninger’s 5-year work anniversary!
Here is what Evan had to say about the past 5 years at APM:
To say the least, it has been an amazing 5 years, I’m grateful to be part of the APM family, and appreciate everything APM has done to further my career.
My day 1 started in the office training with Seth, knowing absolutely nothing about steam and steam traps. Day 2 I was in the field with Mike Walsh and Dan, I quickly realized I had to be on my A game with Mike and absorb anything I could from him as he was a wealth of knowledge and was not afraid to take anything on. I was fortunate enough to have a fantastic team around me who were able to take me under their wing and teach me a tremendous amount about these systems and the design/engineering behind them. The largest consistency throughout my time at APM has been the people I work with. Whether I’ve been traveling with the guys in the field, been on a job site for 1 day with someone, or worked with someone in the office I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with everyone and feel as though I have had a great moment with everyone from APM.
There are so many funny stories I have experienced whether in the field or in the office.
One in particular does stand out to me, though. At Rodger Williams Medical Center Hunter and I were working on a plugged trap that had some very dirty water. Hunter was on the ladder with the dirty water on top and accidentally bumped the pan and it all dumped on me. Hunter couldn’t contain himself and broke out in laughter after seeing me drenched with the muddy water, which in turn just made me laugh it off.
One of the most memorable travel jobs I had was traveling to Ohio with Paul. Paul was my chauffeur that week as he was the only one on the rental policy (not sure he would have trusted me to drive regardless) and we had over a 2-hour drive from the airport to our hotel. Little did we know what we were in for, the further we drove the less civilization there was until we arrived in a town with under 1,000 residents. This made for an interesting day as we began to explore the ghost town, but by day 2 we were driving around trying to find something to do with our time. By that night we had realized there was really nothing for us to do the next few days in this town and the end result was Paul and I sitting in front of the hotel listening to music and watching cars get pulled over. Although it may not have been the most exciting week it made for an interesting experience in a random area I would never have thought I would visit.
I feel like it is hard to write an accomplishment I am proud of, as there is so much that goes into every job at APM there is rarely ever 1 singular person making a job happen, but instead a whole team which has been amazing to be a part of.
Here is what Director of Engineering, Eric Honan, had to say about Evan’s time at APM:
Evan started as a field technician who thrived in customer service. His light-hearted personality and technical ability made him easy to work with and set him up for success in most recent role as a salesmen at APM. He continues to work hard at relationships and genuinely cares about providing quality customer service. Congrats on 5 years!
And here is what Vice President of Sales and Business Development, Chip Goudreau, had to say about Evan’s time at APM:
Congrats to Evan on his 5-year anniversary with APM! Since moving over into the sales department in May of 2022, Evan has jumped right in and worked hard to meet his sales goal. I’d like to congratulate Evan for exceeding his sales goal in FY2023 and look forward to his hard work paying off in 2024. Evan is thoughtful and always willing to ask questions or make terrific suggestions to help solve issues. He makes many hundreds of phone calls and in turn, continues to grow his territory. In 2024, Evan will take over all of upstate NY (Syracuse to Buffalo). Looking forward to what he can develop across the entire upstate NY region for APM!
Thank you, Evan, for your continuous hard work and dedication through your time at APM.
