Happy 1-Year Work Anniversary Jose!

Today is a special work anniversary. It is Jose Hernandez’s 1-year work anniversary!

Here is what Jose had to say about his first year at APM:

So far, my experience has been a nice roller coaster ride. Having to hit the ground running I did not have the easiest start, but I feel like at this point I’ve found my groove and have been chugging along well. Working with Kevin this past summer was very enjoyable. We were in the trenches everyday as we were both learning the role, but by the end of the summer we were like a well-oiled machine. Kevin’s positive attitude really helped as well, even when sh*t hit the fan it honestly never felt that bad.

Overall, I am proud of memorizing a good chunk of the parts we work with, both part and model number’s and being able to be the intermediary for the two ( although I am still learning every day). I am proud of being flexible when it comes to ordering when I first started it always felt like I was behind when it came to looking for alternatives whereas now it’s something I figure out preemptively which has helped us have parts ready sooner. I am proud of having been part of the process of improving the STS tool and look forward to improving our processes even more. I am grateful for the opportunity to work here, as well for the opportunity to meet and work with the team here. So far everyone has been super helpful and always willing to help.

I want to give a big thank you to everyone who has helped facilitate my role over the year logistics, accounting, bizops, engineering, sales, hr/culture management, IT, upper management and the field team who end up having to put up with me and my music when they get sent to help receive 😃

Looking forward to another good year with everyone 😊!!

Here is what Logistics Manager, Michelle Rice, had to say about Jose’s time at APM:

Jose demonstrates flexibility and confidence despite ambiguity and the fast-paced environment at APM. He adjusted quickly to a new training agenda after his first week when there was a new and urgent need to train on ordering and receiving. Over the year he has also been instrumental in the continued development of the department and continues to pick up on both internal and external needs quickly. In his first month with APM, we had a highly responsive team of him, Kevin & Colin ensuring that the field had parts needed for installs as the season ramped up. It’s been a pleasure working with “Hip Hip” Jose and I look forward to continued collaboration in his second year at APM.

And here is what Director of Operations, Katie Clapham, had to say about Jose:

Jose has shown significant growth, taking full ownership of the warehouse, parts meetings, and generally all things Procurement.  He understands the context of the tasks that need to happen, and brings attention to issues as necessary.  He recently told me he is protective of the warehouse/ Procurement as he tends to think of it as his “baby.”  I appreciate his demonstrated understanding of process input and outputs.

I’d like to add that Jose’s influence at APM goes beyond the confines of the warehouse.  He always has a positive attitude, takes the time to ask everyone how they are doing, and is sincerely curious to know the answer.  He has, in a relatively short time, created lasting relationships with many of his team members.  If you’ve spent any time with Jose, you know that he deeply cares about others and truly embodies APM’s core value of empathy.

Congratulations Jose, you have made a meaningful impact on me and I’m grateful for all that you do!  (Except when you don’t put the receiving folders in their correct location 😉)

Thank you, Jose, for your continuous hard work and dedication through your time at APM.
