A Month in Review

Here are some of the highlights from March 2022 as told by the Sales Team . . .

Eric Hayston: Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital

On 3/23/2022, we got an emergency call from Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital. They were having trouble with their dishwasher not coming up to temp. They already had the in-house plumber, and the dishwasher mfg tech out to look at the unit. Both were at a loss and blamed the issue on the steam line. The customer already replaced the 2 traps on the unit so they were at a complete loss on how to resolve the issue.

We sent Jeremy Short onto the scene that afternoon, and Jeremy was able to resolve the issue quickly. Mr. Short discovered that it was a faulty solenoid that was preventing the the water from reaching temp. Which is something the Mfg technician should have figured out, but it took one of our Sr. guys to do it for them.

I spoke to the customer two days later to follow up, and they could not have been happier with how Jeremy and APM handled their situation. Situations like this are what stick in our customers heads, they have very long memories of how a contractor resolves troublesome situations for them good or bad.

Great work Jeremy!

Sid Khanna: Thank you to Custom Services

I wanted to thank Jonathan and Katie for helping with the two projects below.  I know she has been tied up with Steward Health these last few months.  Her quick turn around time helped close a good amount of business in March.

  • CHOP PRV survey Opportunities – Katie’s help in securing $72k in PRV surveys this year with the customer.  It also helped me close about ~$150k total in surveys with the account
  • DTCC HEX Cleaning – Katie’s quick turn around on HEX cleaning quotes for this project helped me secure a $30k HEX cleaning order with a key Mechanical Contractor in NJ.  Hopefully, this will lead to more opportunities with the account in the near future

Way to go Katie!

Jonathan Eno: Marymount Hospital

A steam trap survey at Marymount Hospital -Cleveland Clinic was my first sale at APM.

I really appreciated the coordination with Eric Honan and Michelle Rice that laid the groundwork for making this project go smoothly. After the survey was completed, I spoke with a key contact at the hospital. He said that Rod Perez “is a great technician and we really enjoyed working with him.” The comments from facilities about Rod diligently following through on the fulfillment of this survey will open door into other Cleveland Clinic facilities as well.

I really appreciate the help from the team, and it is reassuring to see how well everyone works together.

Awesome job team! And congrats on your first sale Jonathan!

  1. Thanks for the shoutout, but I can’t take credit where it’s not due. Jon and Honan have been heavily involved with the projects at CHOP, putting together quotes and attending meetings. Jon specifically worked thru the CHOP PRV data and put together the report with David H’s help. He also put together the quotes for the various surveys. Of course, we wouldn’t have the data to support without Jeff C. Cheers to them!

  2. I thought I already left this comment, but it seems it wasn’t posted. Apologies for a duplication if it was and I just can’t see it. I can’t take any credit for anything that happened at CHOP – all quoting and reporting was done by Jon! None of it would have been possible without Jeff in the field as well!
